Welcome to this SSLIS seminar, where Frauke Rohden (Chalmers) presents her research.

As part of my postdoc work, I am doing an analysis of Swedish media reporting about artificial intelligence. I have used the mediearkivet database to download articles about AI from 2014 onwards and am currently doing topic modelling to get an overview of the whole dataset. I’m still working on balancing that with my main interest, which is going more qualitatively into detail on reporting about bias and discrimination in the context of medical AI uses specifically. So, I have a lot of preliminary data along with concerns about using big data and machine learning in my own research that I would like to discuss.
