The purpose of the event is to give employees a chance to listen to short and inspiring lectures on the projects that have been granted strategic funding by the Vice-Chancellor. Additionally, all employees are invited to both Christmas-themed refreshments (fika in Swedish) and Christmas lunch.

In previous years, departments have arranged their own individual Christmas lunches for their employees, but now instead we will enjoy a university-wide Christmas celebration.  

“We hope that many employees will have the opportunity to participate and be inspired, socialise with colleagues, and enjoy good Christmas food. We will have the opportunity to learn about projects that are developing the university and get into the holiday spirit, as well,” said Controller Thomas Johansson, who is responsible for the programme for the day.

Twice a year, all employees have the opportunity to apply for the Vice-Chancellor's strategic funding to run development projects linked to the university's goals and strategies.
