This degree work positions itself in the field of textile design, more specifically in weaving, color blending, and twisting of yarns, and form.
Through yarn twisting, the work demonstrates the possibilities for color blending and the interaction between colors. The decision to work with color gradients was made to demonstrate the versatility of the technique and show how many different variations of color shades can be obtained when working with yarn twisting.
The results are moldable color gradient objects that use yarn twisting and weaving techniques to explore an alternative color blending method. The work merges color gradients, materials, and form, where a medium-density board meets soft textiles.
