Actissance is a project investigating a redefining of activewear. It is motivated by the idea of questioning the aesthetic that exists within the field of winter activewear by placing it with an opposite. The opposite, in this case, is renaissance dressing with a higher focus on aesthetic expression than functional commitment.

Two areas that stand far apart from each other both in time, space, function, and aesthetics. By implementing details and properties from another area, this work strives to rearrange the view on how we create activewear and when we were them. The collection proposes how one could redefine what activewear can be and look like by context, cross it with another field and possibly open up the area to a larger audience. Activewear that can just as easily be worn on the ski slope as at the party.
