An exploration in digital printing techniques in relation to a zero waste draping method. With the intention to prevent waste, develop experimental construction methods and find new expressions in dress.

The search for new design methods throughout this design program has generated the idea about prints having a function other than being decorative. The function being the bridge between the two interests of draping and printing by letting the printing guide the shaping.

Also, this collection contributes with novel ideas about making the field of digital printing more sustainable, by using all the transfer print ink by placing another material underneath a transparent one, taking advantage of the digital printer’s inability to print all the way out to the edge, and to make use of entire squared fabric pieces by keeping the overflow.
