Daylight is an intriguing, atmospheric phenomenon that inspires and triggers design solutions for energy-efficient and human-friendly environments. It is responsible for the sense of perception, helping to see and appreciate the surroundings. Its constantly shifting expressions within the levels of intensity, hue and saturation create various experiences in the perception of colors and textures.
Sunny Interaction investigates an active relationship between sunlight and the field of textile design to create engaging public spaces. The project is based on the combination of machine weaving with spatial structures. The main focus is to explore how color and pattern changeability can be activated in woven textiles while being exposed to the flow of sunlight during the day.
The collection expands the possibilities of creating light-responsive textiles for public spaces while bringing along the potential of sustainable benefits within temperature and mood-controlling abilities.
