The Sky Is The Mirror is a result of a contemporary revision of astrology through three textile techniques; digital jacquard weaving, rope braiding, and hand weaving. Using astrology as the focal point and acting as the center of the concept within personalization and visual inspiration, a collection of 5 wearable textiles has been designed. Astrology is incorporated into the collection through a thoroughly developed system in which the user will receive their astrological birth chart as a wearable textile collection. Ancient pattern construction and the craft of textile production has created a zero-waste approach in the becoming of the 5 silhouettes.
