Darja Nordberg and William Wahlström Winners of Prisad Färg 2022

Founded by the Swedish Color Center Foundation, the competition Prisad Färg 2022 (English translation: Prized Colour) is a competition for students and recent graduates in art, design, and architecture. The competition puts colours in focus and has been created to promote awareness of the importance of colours as well as to showcase good examples of how colours can be implemented and highlighted in artistic works.

One of the selected winners was BA Textile Design alumni Darja Nordberg and her 2021 degree work Twisted Colors which utilised the twisting of yarns into creating colour gradients and blends in weaving.

The second selected winner was second-year fashion design MA student William Wahlström, who showcases approaches to colour expressions and applications in relation to performance in his ongoing degree work Flow.
