The ability to use data has become the most important success factor in terms of increased growth. With background in, among other things, the trends that show that companies increasingly want to use data to develop new services and business models, the project Data-driven service development at the University of Borås is being run. With the increased opportunities in data-driven service development, there are also some challenges, such as lack of appropriate digital solutions, problems with data availability, lack of confidence in data but also insufficient competence regarding advanced data analysis. In other words, data-driven service development is not only a technical challenge but also an organizational challenge, which is shared by many companies.

The aim of this collaboration project is to, at demonstration scale, further verify and develop the process concept developed in a previous project (41244-1). An edible filamentous fungi ferment cellulose and hemicellulose from thin stillage, resulting in 3 % increase in ethanol yield, production of feed products and reduced production costs due to energy efficiency.
