Ten Medical Design AB (10MD) works with customer-oriented product development of radiation protection equipment for use in the health care system in collaboration with the Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Centre for Health Technology Halland, Chalmers and Smart Textiles.

The radiation protection equipment worn when performing radiological diagnostic imaging is often perceived to be less comfortable as radiology aprons are heavy and airtight, properties which may cause difficulty concentrating and ergonomic problems. The goal is to manufacture a flexible radiology apron in a functional material which is perceived to be comfortable even for operations lasting for several hours.
