Sustainable Energy and Thermal Processes
Our mission is to optimize energy systems while minimizing natural resource consumption and reducing environmental impacts. Our research spans a broad spectrum of thermal processes, with a historical emphasis on the combustion of various materials, particularly waste and biomass. Many of our projects are conducted in collaboration with industry partners and involve rigorous experiments and measurements in full-scale commercial equipment.
In recent years, we have significantly expanded our research efforts into pyrolysis and gasification technologies, particularly for biomass and sludge. These processes offer promising pathways for converting various feedstocks into valuable fuels and chemicals while supporting the development of sustainable energy solutions. Our work in pyrolysis is at the forefront of exploring new methods to optimize energy recovery and reduce environmental impacts.
As we move forward, our research group continues to lead in the development of innovative thermal processes that contribute to a more sustainable energy future.
