I work as an associate professor of public administration at the Department of Work Life and Social Welfare at the University of Borås, Sweden. I defended my doctoral dissertation on quality improvement in healthcare in 2016 at Chalmers University of Technology. Before and during my doctoral studies, I worked as a public official at various regional and national agencies for ten years.
My overall research and teaching area concerns governance, management, and organization in the public sector, especially in healthcare, as well as qualitative research methods. I have particular interest in various forms of governance, specifically, citizen involvement (such as co-production), creation of public values such as equality, and enabling and constraining mechanisms for inter-organizational collaborations. I also conduct research on the consequences of management trends (especially quality improvement and service logic) in the public sector.
