About me
I have a PhD from the Centre for Research on Bilingualism, Stockholm University (2020), and am a Senior Lecturer in multilingualism.
My research interests are in the areas of sociolinguistics, multilingualism, and multilingualism in educational contexts with a particular focus on language ideology and identity processes. In my doctoral thesis Language, diaspora, power. Multilingual resources and diaspora identities among young adults in Sweden, I investigated how languages change, are used and developed. I also have a strong interest in issues related to collaboration with society at large and have participated in various projects from the Swedish National Agency for Education. I am currently participating in ULF, is a government effort to increase research collaboration between academia and schools.
Teaching
I have experience teaching Swedish as a second language at different levels and also teach sociolinguistics, particularly in the teacher training programmes. I am also a licensed high school teacher and have a Master’s degree in pedagogy.
