Syngas becomes a raw material for fish feed
Sawmills generate large amounts of by-products that are today considered to have a low value. Through a new process, these by-products can become a valuable raw material for sustainable fish feed. The Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery at the University of Borås is part of the SynoProtein project, as one of eleven international partners covering the entire value chain, coming from business, industry, academia, and research institutes.

Recycled concrete and glass can replace cement in prefab elements
A new generation of concrete elements with much less environmental impact than those currently used is being developed in a research project at the University of Borås. In these concrete elements, recycled concrete aggregate is used as ballast and a significant portion of cement is replaced with glass as a binder.
