Biotechnology Lab

In the Biotechnology Lab, biotechnology studies focus on resource recycling through the processing of by-products and waste material into new products. Several different types of processes are investigated where organic waste becomes biofuel, feed, food and soil enrichment. Common to them is that different microorganisms grow in different conditions to perform the desired processes.

Research and education in the field of Building Technology take place in several lab environments at the University of Borås.

Complex and vital: new thesis on ambulance clinicians’ clinical reasoning

From flu and dizziness to cardiac arrest and serious road accidents, ambulance clinicians’ encounter patients under all sorts of conditions. If the clinician makes a faulty decision, this can lead to harm in the form of delayed or incorrect treatment, which in turn leads to increased suffering for the patient. A new doctoral thesis provides valuable insights into the clinical reasoning process.
