University implements "red zone" – reducing ventilation and cooling this summer

The university plans to temporarily shut off cooling, ventilation, and lighting in Sandgärdet for a few weeks this summer to reduce energy consumption. This will be done as a trial and as part of the university's efforts to minimize its environmental impact.

Textiles and Fashion

The area is focused on the subjects design, textile technology, and textile management. Research is conducted on, for example, customised clothing production, circular fashion, the relationship between body, material and movement, and dying textiles without water. The researchers at the Swedish School of Textiles have taken on several exciting societal challenges as well as basic research.

Inclusive Internationalization, Fast Track for university teachers and researchers

Together with the University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology, University West and University of Skövde we are involved in a project for newcomers with a refugee background. The aim is to shorten the path to either finish a PhD-education or to a career within higher education. This is favourable for both the refugee participants and for Swedish universities, who can benefit from the high competence possessed by the participants.
