Simulation and development of sustainable composite material from renewable resource for structural applications

The general aim with the project is to develop a computer model and simulate mechanical and thermal properties of sustainable composites, for the use in structural, load bearing composites. The aim is further to expand the model and simulate manufacturing and acoustic properties. The targeted composite applications are in automotive industry, building industry as well as the furniture and interior design industry, where there is a great interest for novel sustainable materials, which are based on biobased raw materials, and which can be recycled in a carbon dioxide neutral way.

Professionally developed digital learning objects in distance education

The aim of the project is to develop models for the professional development of digital learning objects in courses for professionals. We know that the quality requirements for education that are aimed at companies are high in terms of not only content, but also format, form and flexibility. The starting point is that professionally designed interactive learning objects increase the quality, both in the teaching material and for the course participants' opportunities for learning and participation.
