Textile Technology Laboratories

This collective name includes four laboratories: Research Lab – Chemistry, Research Lab – Supercritical CO₂, Research Lab – Analysis/Inkjet, and Research Lab – Textile Bio/Plasma Machine. These are located in close proximity to each other on the premises of the Swedish School of Textiles. They are mainly used by doctoral students carrying out projects in textile materials technology and polymeric e-textiles. These labs are also used by the Swedish School of Textiles' Bachelor’s and Master’s students in lab courses and in their degree projects.

Exhibition Exit 2024

The graduating Textile Design students showcase their thesis projects during an exhibition at Textilmuseet. At the core are visionary perspectives on the role of textile design in shaping responsible relationships with the surrounding environment.

Dye & Print Technology Lab

In the Dye & Print Technology Lab, the focus is on textile dyeing, printing and finishing processes. Here, students and researchers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in textile and production development in a unique environment, one of the few available in the Nordic region. Companies are also welcome to utilize the lab for training purposes.
