After your studies

The doctoral studentship is limited in time and ends when four years of effective study time have elapsed. Even if you, as a doctoral student, have favourable conditions to advance in the labour market, it is important that you think about what you want to do after your doctoral studies. Do this in good time prior to your public defence and investigate what opportunities there are. You should also familiarise yourself with the conditions that apply to livelihoods and housing. If you live in a student apartment, you usually no longer have the right to stay there when your education is completed.
