Canvas simplifies and improves – first impressions

Prior to the university's transition to Canvas, a group of teachers has had the opportunity to test pilot the learning platform with their courses. Gisela Bohlin and Emma Almingefeldt, Lecturers at the Department of Pre-School and School Teacher Education, have been using Canvas since the start of the term in January 2021. They think that it has already made things easier when it comes to their and their students' work.

She explores body movement as a material in design processes

When it comes to design, we usually focus on the clothes we wear to enable different kinds of movement. Significant potential still exists when it comes to exploring how the body and movements interact with other materials and how this creates different design expressions. This is according to Linnea Bågander, who recently defended her doctoral thesis in the field of Textiles and Fashion at the Swedish School of Textiles.

International summit to challenge companies to explore new perspectives and work approaches

The textile and fashion industry faces a large number of significant challenges. Opportunities for global collaborations in which innovations, different ways of thinking, and diverse cultural perspectives can be explored will lead to innovation. Examples will be presented during a unique, international summit that will be broadcast live from Borås, Sweden on 26 October.
