Currently, the university has other systems for file storage and collaboration, such as OneDrive and Teams. Microsoft 365 is included in the university's Microsoft agreement and therefore does not incur any additional costs, and the services in Microsoft 365 offer functionality equivalent to Box.

Important information about storage and sharing of sensitive information:

For the storage and sharing of sensitive information, such as confidential data or sensitive personal information, services other than OneDrive and Teams should be used, as per the university's storage rules.

The decision to discontinue Box was made by the Head of Professional Services on 27 March, 2024, reference number 236-24.

Timeline for the discontinuation of Box:

The work of transferring materials from Box will take place from spring 2024 to summer 2025. The timeline runs from April 2024 to autumn 2025.

• April 2024 - Information to the organization that Box will be discontinued.
• June 2024 – autumn 2025 - Transfer of materials to another storage service, when informational materials are developed and published on the university's website.
