Extension

The employment can be extended for a certain period beyond five years if there are acceptable reasons. With regard to statutory leave (sick leave, parental leave, Student Union work, etc.), the employment must be automatically extended by the corresponding time for you as a doctoral student.

The university has also regulated how much compensation you are entitled to in order to be involved in various university bodies and forums.

Initiatives to extend employment as a doctoral student are taken by the Director of Studies for the doctoral education programme. The current individual study plan, TFU/Retendo, and extracts from Ladok form the basis for the decision made by the relevant Dean of Faculty. Research officers at the Faculty Support Office ensure that the correct form is filled in and sent to HR together with documentation from Ladok. The total study time when changing study pace/having a study break may not exceed eight years of study part-time from the day you were admitted.
