Hi and welcome to the course Textile overview – Dyeing and Finishing 3.0 credits!
What the course is about
In this stand-alone textile overview course, you will learn the basics of industrial techniques used in dyeing and finishing, including an understanding of how the choice of technique is closely linked to the quality and functionality of a textile product.
Course start
The course is given entirely as an online distance course, without meetings and without specific dates for examination. The course opens when the semester and study period start, and you can choose when you want to start it from this day.
Course structure and implementation
In Canvas you will see that the course is structured in modules, which means groups of smaller subject areas within the main area of dyeing and finishing, where each module ends with a quiz. With the quiz you can confirm that you have understood the content of the current module before moving on to the next module. Be aware that you must pass the quiz before the next module opens up. You study at your own pace during the course period. When you've gone through all the modules, it's time to take the final exam, which also takes place online at a time that suits you best.
Literature
The literature in the course can be downloaded online, so you do not need to buy the course book. Information about the course literature can be found in the course syllabus, in each of the modules there will also be suggestions on chapters to read for a deeper understanding.
Welcome to the course!
Best regards,
Veronica Malm, Course manager
