Note
Swedish School of Textiles has a long tradition of bringing talented individuals from all corners of the world together to actively engage in forming a better future. We firmly believe that sustainability is an integrated challenge that requires a broad set of competencies and strong collaboration between design, engineering, and management, academically and professionally. Within the master’s programme in textile management, we aim to create an environment that may nourish and support the development of competencies for addressing this challenge.
In order to create this environment, we have opened the admissions process to accept students with formal academic degrees outside the field of textiles and fashion. With this breadth of backgrounds, the crucial requirement for being accepted into these programmes is to demonstrate analytical reasoning related to key topics around sustainability issues in textiles and fashion. For this reason, applicants must provide some additional information (motivation letter and resumé) with their formal application, which allows for evaluation of this ability in the presentation and communication of relevant experiences, knowledge, interests, and aspirations (in terms of educational backgrounds, work and life experiences, etc.).
Step 1 (formal application) and step 2 (motivation letter in two parts and resumé) of the selection process share the same deadline, whereas step 3 (interviews) will be scheduled if motivation letters are approved.
This programme will not accept any late applications.
Make sure to prepare well in advance for the application process by reading the information below. Note that this programme will be held in English, and for this reason, the motivation letters must be in English. For the same reason, in the event of discrepancies, the English instructions are the ones that will be formally adhered to.
Step 1: Eligibility (formal application process)

The link to the form will be available here and open on November 1st. https://www.hb.se/en/the-swedish-school-of-textiles/international-student/application-for-management-masters-programmes/ The deadline for submitting motivation letters and resumés is the same as for Step 1 (see deadlines above). It is not possible to submit this mandatory part later than this date.
When submitting your application at universityadmissions.se / antagning.se (Step 1) you will receive a message on your personal account with a link to Step 2 in the admissions process. Complete the task in accordance with the instructions.
The motivation letters will be read individually and graded anonymously by three representatives in an admissions grading committee (based on both contents and communicative quality), which will be summarized into an average.
The resumé must be written in English.
Step 3: Interviews
Based on the written assessed motivation letters, candidates will be invited to an interview.
After the interviews, the TM master’s admissions committee will make their final decision on which applicants to recommend for admission to the programme.
The interview is held in English.
