Internship abroad

When can you do an internship abroad?

The options for doing an internship abroad vary from one study programme to another. Contact your international coordinator at exchange@hb.se to learn more.

Find a placement

If you want to carry out an internship abroad, you are responsible for arranging the placement and contacting the organisation where you want to do the training. You can contact the international coordinator or programme supervisor for possible tips on organisations where previous students have done their placements. Internships are often unpaid, but in many cases there are scholarship options to apply for. If you are eligible for student finance and if the internship is part of a course at the university, it is also possible to apply for financial support from CSN.

When the university is contacted by organisations and companies abroad who are seeking interns, the advertisements may be published on our career pages. You can find the advertisements on the university's page here (in Swedish).

Erasmus Student Network (ESN), the organisation for Erasmus+ students, has created a website with internship placement offers. Read more on ESN's page erasmusintern.org.
