Near-accidents

A near-accident that did not result in personal injury is not to be reported to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). Everything else about the near-accident is to be handled as if it was an accident at work.

If a near-accident posed serious danger to someone’s life and health the University (the Head of the School in question) is to report this to the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Section 2 of the Work Environment Act (external link).

It is important for you as a student to report any near-accidents in order for the University to work actively on preventing ill-health and accidents.

Notification of near-accident form (pdf) (unfortunately only in Swedish)

The form is to be sent to the Office of the Registrar, registrator@hb.se (University of Borås, Registrator, 501 90 Borås, Sweden) that in turn forwards the form to the School in question and sends a copy to HR.
