Study Environment Council

The council monitors issues relating to the requirements of the Discrimination Act to work actively as an education provider and as the accountable authority for education in relation to the Work Environment Act.

The council provides support for the university (Faculties and student support activities) so that preventive work can take place in the following areas:

  • Admission and recruitment
  • Examinations and assessments
  • Study environment
  • Studies and parenting
  • Forms of education and organisation (Discrimination Act 2008:567)

The council also participates as a referral body for, for example, revised routines, action plans, and the design of student surveys that, for example, concern issues of discrimination, as well as responds to external requests for comment.

The composition of the council consists of ten members:

  • Representative of the Faculty of Police Work: Sofia Persson 

The council may include additional representatives as necessary.

    On the agenda: Student Ombudsman, feedback on matters in autumn 2023. Student health feedback on cases in autumn 2023.

  • February 29

    On the agenda: Course reports, how do the programs work with course reports and how do the students get feedback?
    What impressions do we take with us from this sping`s introductory efforts? 

  • May 2

    On the agenda: How do the academies work with the systematic work environment management in relation to the students?

    What measures are needed to support students at the beginning of their education, discussion.

    On the agenda: Before the meeting, the participants were tasked with thinking about how the study environment work works and what the university needs to work on in the coming years in order to live up to the requirements of the legislation - both regarding the discrimination act and the work environment legislation.
