How to apply

1. Apply to the programme no later than 16 April 2025 at  www.universityadmissions.se. 
2. The application portfolio and CV should be uploaded no later than 16 April 2025.
   
3. We must receive your supporting documentation no later than 28 April 2025. Upload the documents to universityadmissions.se.

Admission Requirements

General admission requirements and specific admission requirements. The following specific admission requirements apply for education leading to a Bachelor of Arts: (i) artistic design ability to work, experiment, illustrate and realise fashion and textiles and other elements in an expressive manner, in order to convey intended ideas in a comprehensible manner, (ii) technical ability in textile techniques, e.g. weaving, printing, sewing, embroidery, knitting or other textile constructions, (iii) a certain degree of critical theoretical knowledge within the field of fashion and design.

Application portfolio

Major subjects at the education in Textile Design are design research, artistic experiments aiming at artistic development of design ideas, experiments and technical development in ateliers and studios. It is therefore important that the application portfolio demonstrates an ability to develop ideas from visual research (material gathering and working with source materials) into finished work (composition and technical skill).

The application assignment for 2025 will be published 25 January 2025.

• Fill out your name etc. and which specialisation you apply for with your portfolio.
• Upload your application portfolio as a PDF, max 100 MB. You can also add a multimedia file (.mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, .avi, .qt, .mov, .mp4) max 100 MB.

CV

Your CV should include information about previous education, courses, work experience, internships and projects. Please use this form.

Assessment day

During the initial stage, the portfolio will be assessed in relation to proven artistic interpretative ability, technical ability in textile techniques and a degree of critical-theoretical knowledge of the field of textiles and design. In the next stage, a number of applicants will be invited to an assessment day. During the assessment day, the applicants’ artistic and technical abilities will be tested, and the applicants’ qualifications and other experience will be discussed during interviews. 

The assessment day will be conducted digitally on 13 May 2025. Selected applicants will be notified through their account at universityadmissions.se.

Admissions results

The result of the selection will be published on universityadmissions.se 30 May 2025. If you get admitted but can not attend the programme, you need to decline your offer on your pages at www.universityadmissions.se.
