Cultural Studies Perspective on Fashion
The first course offers a historical framework, while the second instead looks towards the fashion of the future. The third and fourth course investigate the production and consumption of fashion as two interconnected phenomena. Together, the four courses offer a holistic and in-depth approach to fashion.
The courses run at half speed and are therefore suitable for individuals who are already in the job market but wish to further their education.
You do not need to have a previous degree in fashion or textiles. However, you must have completed 60 credits previously.
The courses are structured to be taken in the order they are offered, which is why the first course is in fashion history. The following courses will delve deeper into more contemporary phenomena, for which the historical course provides a solid framework.
The four 7.5 credit courses are independent from each other but can be taken together for a deeper understanding of the field of fashion from a cultural studies perspective.
You apply for the courses separately, so there is no cohesive admission between them.
Note: The courses are taught in English.
