I am a Senior Lecturer in Biology and an Associate Professor in Science Education. My area of research mainly revolves around exploring conditions for teachers to carry out and develop their science teaching. Currently, my focus is on investigating the pedagogical potentials of including wonder in school science, the ways in which drawing can contribute to science teaching and learning in school year 1–3, and how to bridge science teaching across different levels of education.
My research primarily targets science teaching in preschool to middle school, but the questions I investigate are also relevant to older students. In my projects, I primarily use formative interventions where researchers and teachers collaborate to explore relevant issues related to preschool or school science.
